The mission of COMPASS, the Comparative Literature Student Organization at UGA, is to provide our Comparative Literature graduate students with a sense of community as well as with academic and professional resources, including opportunities for scholarly development. Additionally, it is a space where students get together and discuss topics that are of interest in a relaxed environment. For information about events, visit the organization's Facebook Group: .

COMPASS has weekly meetings on Mondays at 4:00pm in Joe Brown 220 (unless announced otherwise). Each meeting is led by one of the COMPASS members who shares his/her research with peers over light refreshments and lively discussion. This "colloquium" provides all students with the chance to get feedback on their work and practice presenting it in front of an audience. Any students who are currently working on something and would like to put their name down for an upcoming meeting to share their work with us, please contact Mounawar Abbouchi.
