Gabriel Ayoola is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in Comparative Literature at the University of Georgia. His research interests include Onomastic studies, Oral Literatures, and religion. Originally from Nigeria, he holds a B.A (Ed) in English/Yoruba Language and Literature, and he has taught English Language at the ICT Polytechnic Itori-Ewekoro (Nigeria). He has also taught Yoruba both in Nigeria and in the United States. He holds a M.A from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in African Languages and Literature. The title of his Master's thesis is Yoruba Anthroponomastics as Symbols: Their Morphophonological Processes and Their Meaning.
