We are seeking a new colleague working in the Area of African Literatures and Intercultural Studies
Our department and African Studies Institute invite applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position in African Literatures and Intercultural Studies, with primary specialization in Anglophone Sub-Saharan African Literature.
We are hopeful for a colleague excellent in teaching, research and able to teach introductory courses in African Literature and African Studies, as well as courses in African Oral Traditions and/or Intercultural Studies at all levels.
We are also interested in candidates with secondary specialization in African cinema, African Diaspora literature and/or African language pedagogy.
The new colleague will join the department on August 1, 2020. Applicants must have Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, African Studies or related field by appointment time and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness and potential for scholarly publication and service.
